Syracuse Men’s Basketball

OVERVIEW

Being located in downtown Syracuse, Pinckney Hugo Group had the opportunity to work closely with the Syracuse Men’s Basketball team to develop game-specific shirts for their 2025-26 season. These games included big tournaments, challenges and rivalries such as Duke and UNC. Members of our creative department had full creative control and contributed concepts and designs that went through many rounds of selection and revisions. This was a fun challenge for me to escape the digital landscape and try something in the print space. I curated mood boards of inspiration for each game and played into commonalities and themes as I brainstormed copy options.

My ‘Battle of the Orange’ concept was selected for the ACC/SEC Challenge game between the Syracuse Orange and Tennessee Volunteers. I chose to play into the idea that both team’s are widely recognized for their color orange. Using both team’s iconic hues, I wanted to communicate the vibrant, playful, energetic, zest of the colors.
